About The Penguin Project

Penguin Project is a group of techy artsy geeks who want to share our love of penguins, travel, and adventure with the world. We’re planning a twelve-day trip to Antarctica in November 2010 and throwing a fundraising party in Lake Tahoe on NYE.

While some of the money we raise from our art will send us out to experience Antarctica, part of the proceeds from our endeavors will benefit two groups- Oceanites and The Antarctic Heritage Trust. Oceanites monitors penguin populations in the Antarctic Peninsula, and studies the balance of the ecosystem in that area. The Antarctic Heritage Trust maintains the historical explorer’s shelters scattered throughout the continent.
